Standard Bank/Chenin Blanc Top Ten Challenge 2017

ENTRIES NOW OPEN FOR STANDARD BANK/CHENIN BLANC TOP 10 CHALLENGE 2017
 

Entries for the fourth annual Standard Bank/Chenin Blanc Top 10 Challenge are now open and all South African Chenin Blanc producers are welcome to enter their wines.

The wines will be judged over three days, from 4 to 6 July, during blind tastings by a panel of wine experts.

The Judging panel:

• Cathy van Zyl MW (Chair)
• Richard Kershaw (MW)
• James Pietersen (Wine Cellar)
• Tinashe Nyamudoka (Test Kitchen)
• Lauren Buzzeo (Tasting Director/Senior Editor)
• Wine Enthusiast USA Associate Judge: Marlvin Gwese (Cape Grace)

We are delighted to announce that the producers of the Top 10 winning wines will this year receive R25 000 each. (R20 000 the past 3 years). The prize money must be used to reinforce the economic and social benefits in the workplace. The awards ceremony announcing the winners will take place on 23 August 2017 at Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch

Important dates:

Closing date for entries and submission of samples: Thursday, 29 June 2017
Delivery of samples: ONLY 26 - 29 June 2017 to Villiera
Judging of wines: 4 - 6 July 2017
